Provides employees with the training necessary to perform at the highest level of their capability. Works with managers to assure that staff receives all the necessary training and evaluates training progress.
Provides incoming employees with the technical training needed to perform at the entry level of the job description.
Formulates training schedules and monitors performance management, based on knowledge of identified training needs, credit union production processes, or changes in products, procedures, services and technologies.
Selects appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role play, and/or computer based training.
Maintains records to evaluate employees\' training progress and provides pertinent information to managers for appraisals.
Develops a cross-training program for Financial Specialists.
Conducts initial screening telephone interviews with qualified applicants and makes recommendations for follow up interviews.
Trains staff on sales techniques, conducting telephone callbacks, referrals and service standards.
Coaches employees to consistently provide knowledgeable, high-quality service.
Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, and promotional development.
Organizes, develops and revises training checklists, procedures, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, and other educational materials as needed.
Maintains and records training activities on employee\'s training profiles through CPD Online.
Encourages all employees to continue with the CPD Online program to complete courses in a timely manner.
Organizes, develops and revises training checklists, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, and other educational materials.
Monitors and reports suspected money laundering, structuring, or other suspicious activity by completing the Internal Report of Suspicious Activity form.
Keeps informed on new developments, methods, and techniques in the training field.
Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude toward our members and other employees, in compliance with FFCU\'s Service Standards.
Performs other duties as required or needed.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to operate computer keyboard to perform member account transactions.
Ability to read computer screen and printouts.
Ability to speak clearly using good diction to communicate with employees in person, in writing and on the telephone.
Ability to detect and trace errors and make necessary corrections.
Requires human skills that build cooperation within the organization. Requires the ability to communicate, lead, motivate and train individuals and groups. Requires the ability to interact and consult with the Vice President Human Resources regarding training issues.
Requires the ability to identify problem areas in training and make independent decisions to resolve problems that relate to the standard operating procedures. Problems that occur out of the normal operations are communicated to the Vice President Human Resources.
Requires conceptual skills which involve the ability to see the organization as a whole and to understand how various functions of the organization compliment one another, who the organization relates to its environment and how changes in one part of the organization affect the rest of the organization.
Ability to perform well under stressful situations.
Ability to speak clearly using good diction to communicate with members and other employees in person and on the phone.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, CCUE or its equivalent.
Minimum of two year\'s in similar or related experience.
The ability to handle sensitive personnel issues in a diplomatic manner.
Wide range of experience in personnel management and human resource development.
Credit union experience preferred.
