Duties:

Position Summary/Objective:

The Mortgage Sales Support Specialist ensures the successful transition of new Loan Officers to Elevations Credit Union. This includes assistance with onboarding, transition and pipeline support for the initial 120 days, and ongoing resource support for the first year. This individual will champion the sales process within the mortgage sales team, while seeking improvements that impact the team's productivity, volume goals and overall performance.

Essential Functions include:

Support new Mortgage Loan Officers (first 120 days):

*Coordinate with Mortgage Sales Manager to manage transferred pipeline for new Mortgage Loan Officers
*Work with Mortgage Business Development Specialist to prepare and implement marketing ideas and support to maintain/expand loan officer referral partners and book of business
*Responsible for monitoring reports and maintaining TRID compliance in providing mortgage disclosures throughout the process
*Take ownership of the mortgage loan process from application to funding, acting as project manager with minimal supervision – while preparing the new hire to assume these responsibilities
-Interact with members, loan officers, LOA’s, processors, underwriters, closers, title agents and real estate professionals in a collaborative and professional manner
-Schedule and lead pipeline meetings for loans in process
-Communicate loan progress to borrower and real estate agents
-Effectively manage purchase contract and lock expiration dates, anticipating areas of concerns and proactively addressing issues prior to deadlines
-Prepare and submit appraisal reconsiderations, rapid rescore requests and loan committee reviews
-Partners with mortgage operations staff on an as needed basis to ensure mortgages move to closing
Note: For new LO’s without an assistant, the Mortgage Sales Enablement Specialist will be responsible for assisting with the LOs pipeline during the first 120 days. After the first 120 days the LO will retain full responsibility.

Support new Mortgage Loan Officers (first year):

*Responsible for monitoring reports to ensure new LO/LOA maintains TRID compliance in providing mortgage disclosures throughout the process
*Act as primary resource for questions about TRID compliance, Fannie/Freddie guidelines, running LP/DU, ECU process and procedures, Encompass, internal systems, etc.

Assist in onboarding/training of new Mortgage Loan Officers:

*Participate in onboarding/learning sessions for new Loan Originators including, Encompass, Reference Desk, ECU mortgage process and procedures, etc.
*Prepare all onboarding documents and presentations as well as coordinating schedules.

Expectations:

*Develop and communicate process improvements
*Commute as needed to onsite locations – currently includes Broomfield, Boulder, Longmont and Fort Collins
*Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations governing the Credit Union
*Maintain and support Elevations values and culture in all workplace interactions and settings
Other duties and tasks as needed
*Maintain a professional work environment

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 4+ years mortgage experience with ability to perform mortgage-related calculations and follow mortgage guidelines
Proficiency with Encompass and all Microsoft Office applications
Demonstrated effective and professional communication – written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple priorities; strong detail orientation, highly organized with a strong sense of urgency
Proven focus on delivering consistent excellence in customer service – both internal and external
