The Operations Support Member Service Representative provides quality assurance within Operations, by reviewing account documents and various reports to ensure documents and processes have been completed accurately, timely in accordance with compliance regulations and Sooper Credit Union policies and procedures. The Operations Support MSR works as a liaison between the front line Member Service Representatives and the member to facilitate and answer questions regarding policies and procedures, as well as to ensure that all processes were completed in accordance with various regulations.


Quality assurance review of all member accounts, including specialty accounts such as Trust Accounts, Deceased Accounts, Estate Accounts, FBO and Custodial accounts etc. to ensure all appropriate policies and procedures were followed. Provide the VP of Operations a monthly detailed analysis of all errors found for each branch to determine gaps in performance and training. Perform account maintenance and research and correct mis-posted transactions as necessary and submitted by other branches/departments.

Reviews various transaction and account maintenance reports to ensure that all account maintenance and transactions were processed in accordance to regulation, policy/procedure and to monitor for internal theft/fraud.

Ensure that IRA documents are adequately prepared and has full oversight of the entire IRA portfolio for the credit union. Reviews all distribution and contribution reports to ensure all transactions were processed accurately and all withholdings are withheld accordingly. Process all IRA rollovers, death claims and direct transfers. Process all IRA RMDs. Work in conjunction with Ascensus and Sooper Credit Unionís core processing system to ensure that all tax reporting deadlines are met to protect the credit union from any tax penalties and liability.

Scan member service documents accurately. Safely discard and/or file original documentation.

Work in conjunction with Sooper Credit Unionís Compliance Officer to respond to requests submitted by Sooper Credit Unionís compliance review vendor. Ensure that documents are submitted by the requested deadline and forward all compliance review recommendations/responses to the VP of Operations.

Other duties as assigned.


Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.

Other Skills: Possess strong computer skills and grammar skills.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment: Ability to multi task and work with a sense of urgency in a high volume environment.
