|As a Data Analyst you will:|
•Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting and analysis of results of the credit union’s performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.
•Work with multiple groups to define key reporting metrics, identify current database sources, assess the status of existing reporting capabilities and work with teams on go forward solutions, including documentation.
•Analyze business procedures and recommend specific types of data that can be used to improve upon them.
•Review and audit both scheduled and ad-hoc reports to ensure that they are accurate, clear, timely, concise and user-friendly.
•Maintain a change management process to ensure proper tracking of reporting changes.
•Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance as assigned by management.
•Demonstrate insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools and concepts to provide practical counsel to business area partners and management in order to drive business results.
•Manage the production of periodic daily, weekly, and monthly reports as well as ad-hoc reports to ensure timeliness, accuracy and appropriate presentation of data.
•Monitor and review report requests from end users in order to fully understand their needs, prioritize requests as appropriate, and make recommendations that will enhance the end user experience.
|Candidates for this position should meet the following requirements:|
•Bachelor's Degree required with a major in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or business.
•Ability to independently research, resolve, and support transactions and account balances.
•At least 1 year experience in a similar or related field.
•Professional well developed interpersonal skills essential for providing great service and projecting a positive image as representative for the organization. Approaches others in a tactful manner, reacts well under pressure, accepts responsibility for own actions, and follows through on commitments.
•Requires sound and accurate judgment. Displays a willingness to make decisions in a timely manner, usually within established guidelines. Includes appropriate people in decision-making process and can support and explain reasoning for decisions.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required. Familiarity with data query/data management tools preferred (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
•Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)
