Description:

Responsible to perform in a manner that demonstrates understanding of all functions related to the objectives of the loan department. To provide sales, quality service delivery, and operational support to the lending department. Perform underwriting duties as required for SCU lending programs within guidelines and policies. Must possess thorough SCU product and service knowledge, exceptional cross-selling and servicing skills and a professional demeanor. Must be able to work independently and as a team.

Duties:

Assist members, directly or indirectly, with all related functions of the loan department. Process loans within lending authority or in conjunction with credit officer approval.

Identify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell products and services beneficial to members.

Provide support, training, mentoring and coaching to MSR employees.

Accurately input and maintain member loan/account information on computer system.

Assures that appropriate records are filed and maintained and required reports are processed.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school education or GED. Requires licensing through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) within 90 days of hire. Further requires Credit Insurance Licensing through the company’s insurance carrier within six months of hire. Employees are accountable to notify Human Resources of the expiration dates of these licenses, and to obtain/maintain the current status of all licenses.
