Mountain River Credit Union, a $26M, 3,600+ member credit union with branches in Salida, Buena Vista and Alamosa, situated in the heart of the Rockies in central Colorado is looking for an Executive Manager with honesty, respect and integrity, as well as energy and vitality to guide the credit union through the next steps of their vision and strategic process.

Duties:

As the credit unionís Executive Manager, the selected candidate will be charged with developing strategies for steady, sustainable growth; solid financial performance; and innovative product development that are in the best interest of the members, the organization, the employees, and the socially diverse communities served. The ideal candidate will possess the strategic and visionary mindset needed to grow the organization and achieve the mission, vision, and values of the credit union.

The Executive Manager will report directly to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for planning and directing all activities in accordance with the credit unionís policies, as established by the Board of Directors. Direct responsibilities include investing, ALM, consumer, mortgage and home equity lending, marketing, and compliance. Additionally, the successful candidate must have the ability to assess the organization, work with the Board, lead and inspire the staff, implement strong internal controls, and best practices.
Some travel and evening board meetings will be required. The selected candidate must be familiar with state and national regulations. A minimum of 3 years of executive management experience in a financial institution (credit union preferred), bachelorís degree or equivalent are required. The selected candidate will have a proven progressive background and track record of building and leading teams while respecting the credit unionís core values and culture, and possess the emotional intelligence needed for both the membership and employees. Expertise in regulatory issues, operations, compliance, finance, and technological insight for the future is also desired.
