POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence Analyst will build reports for business users using different Business Intelligence Tools. Develops customer analysis and utilizes SQL. An ideal candidate will possess the skill to look beyond the request received and work with the business user to determine the optimal long-term solution for the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Build reports for business users
• Provide analysis, design implementation, maintenance and training for enterprise data projects and tasks.
• Initiate improvements and develop new reports to satisfy emerging data needs
• Write/Modify SQL code to develop data queries per end-user specifications
• Create complex reports integrating multiple data-sets
• Generate and maintain reports from Company Data Warehouse
• Meet with internal line of business users to gather business requirements.
• Manage projects and initiatives related to line of business requirements.
• Adhere to corporate standards, policies and procedures
• Write short procedures including but not limited to ETL Processing, Report Development, Business Requirement Definitions
• Resolve end user reporting problems through collaboration with IT and line of businesses
• Execute and monitor on-going reporting and data processing operations for the credit union
• Present and explain findings
• Responsible for related duties as required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
• College course work in computer information systems, database concepts or related fields beneficial

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
• Previous exposure to relational database reporting and SQL beneficial
• Ideal candidate will be proficient in T-SQL or other database query language
• Experience with either database tools and concepts or credit unions a must
• Experience with Jack Henry’s ARCU system a plus
• Microsoft Excel- strong Excel skill, including pivots is beneficial; VBA a plus, but not required
• Outlook- ability to schedule appointments, check conflicts, etc.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other database reporting tool a plus

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• 2+ years in a combination of either a report writing/database role or credit union experience

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Problem solving, analytical and communication skills required
• Proven ability to listen to the needs of different groups and develop amicable relationships with a wide range of different personalities at all levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to convey information clearly, accurately, and timely in consideration of audience and medium.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Artistic/layout skill a plus
• Presentation skills

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Standard office conditions
• Low to moderate noise
• Limited lifting up to 50 lbs.
