Responsible for the overall design, health, and monitoring of network and security systems. Installs, configures, and maintains all network hardware, software, and associated systems and devices.
Responsible for the overall design / architecture and health of all voice, data, physical and virtual network resources
Configures and installs all network related hardware, software, and services such as: firewalls, IPS / IDS, switches, routers, wireless, VPN, QOS, DHCP, DNS, VOIP / SIP etc. using industry standards and best practices
Configures, monitors, and maintains all telephony resources such as data lines, devices, and phone systems connected to all PMCU facilities
Maintains up to date documentation of all logical and physical network connectivity using industry standard tools such as Microsoft Visio and Excel
Performs regular backups and monitoring of network devices and configurations utilizing manual and automated tools and best practices
Troubleshoot problems with hardware and software. Maintain an activity log of problems, analyze data, and make recommendations for action.
Manage projects estimating timelines and deployment schedules
Installs, configure, and manage network and server software and updates
Acts as tier 2 escalation point for end user support and training. Provide information, answer questions, and track and resolve problems promptly identifying opportunities to improve user satisfaction.
Maintain supportive and professional relationships with end users and outside vendors projecting PMCUs core values

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP a plus
Understanding of common network principles such as the OSI model
Strong understanding of TCP/ IP, IP address provisioning and management, routing, switching, and firewalls
Thorough knowledge of hardware and software systems to support a medium size business enterprise network and data center environment
Understanding of Credit Union operations and output requirements
3 + years related experience
Experience with Firewalls, Routing, Switching, Disaster Recovery, and IP Telecom Systems and associated applications
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments in an environment that requires multitasking among concurrent projects
Strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others
Able to communicate complex information clearly with all levels of staff organization wide
Good process orientation and ability to clarify objectives, evaluate options, consider implications, assess risks, and make key decisions
Sound planning, organizational, time management, and problem solving skills
Willingness to participate in an on call rotation as well as work after hours as necessary
